Have not tried that. I would only use tripple filtered butane. Even the cedar matches will leave a after taste in the cigar. (some do prefer cedar matches)

No, while it is a combustible product, it lacks the volitility of other products. It actually CAN be used, and will light and burn pretty nicely, BUT your cigarettes will taste funny! Someone 'borrowed' some fluid from me, not noticing I had marked the can "WD-40" with a marker. He had to get new cotton and a new wick for his lighter!

One good way is to tightly crumple up a few pages of newspaper and place it in the bottom of your grill. If you have lighter fluid, soak it. Pile your coals over the newspaper and then light it. My personal favorite though is to jsut douse the heck out of the coals with lighter fluid, stand back and let 'er rip. I make a point to let all the lighter fluid burn off before cooking. Get an empty 3lb alluminum coffee can. Drill several half inch holes in bottom and sides. Fill with charcoal bricks and place on lit high heat outdoor fish fryer. Once the charcoal bricks in the can become mostly gray remove from fryer and pour bricks into your pit. I use a pair of offset pliers or channel locks to handle hot can. Two 3lb cans of bricks is plenty for most cooks but if your cooking a large cut of meat you may need three. This only takes a few minutes and completely eliminates the need and taste of lighter fluid. This really is much faster than simply pouring lighter on the bricks in your grill and waiting for them to burn off the lighter fluid and turn gray.JN

Yes, and many newsagents sell the official Zippo lighter fluid, as well as other brands (Swan etc). yes pretty much. You can also use Ronsonol lighter fluid.

Im not sure because i live in New Mexico. One time i bought a lighter at the fair and they let me but one time i tried to buy one at the gas station and they said they couldn't. Recently, I was in New York and i bought a zippo lighter in Chinatown but then my friend tried to buy one in Times Square and they said they couldn't. It probably depends on the location and the cashier's ethics. hope I helped!! by the way i am 13

There are many different zippo tricks. I would recommend searching on Google, or Yahoo for Zippo Trick instructions. But remember be careful.

Not if the wick, flint or steel are wet. The flint needs to be dry enough to make a spark and the wick has to be filled with lighter fluid. But if you are trying to use your lighter in the rain or only the outside is wet it will be ok as long as the are careful to keep the inside dry.

No sir, I'm 14 and got my Zippo today with some lighter fluid. Heed my advice, if you want a Zippo, make sure to have Lighter fluid, it does not have any pre-filled.
