This question is good to Google for. I looked into programming/reusing SIM cards a while back and found a lot of useful information in about 30 minutes. But, its been a while since I fooled around with this. Here is what a SIM card is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subscriber_Identity_Module What I can tell you is that the SIM card carries important information about the phone, the provider, your settings, etc. I believe that these SIM cards apply only to GSM phones. You can take you phone to Another Country, pick up a SIM card from a provider and put it in your phone. But I'm not sure you can do it the other way around (use your original SIM card and get a different phone). You can buy new SIM cards and also copy(backup) and edit(hack) them with usb adapters both are readily available on places like ebay. Anyway just look on google for some more information and include words like "GSM" SIM card" and ""mobile phone". later Yes you can use the phone that you bought in Overseas with the SIM card from your old phone as long as the the phone is triband or quadband unlocked phone. If you buy your phone from Asia or Europe most of their phones are dualband 900/1800MHz because the bands in their country is 900MHz or 1800MHz or both. The band in US is 1900MHz and in some places Cingular has 850MHz. In order for your phone to work in US it has to have the 850/1900MHz band and it has to be unlocked. Also why would one buy a phone in Overseas when you can buy those latest unlocked phone here in US from Romeohifi.com. They have dualband, triband and quadband phone. There phone number is 631-770-0550. Good luck.
Nope.
Either the card or the reader is defective. Try putting the card in another device and try putting a different card in the reader.
You can not use a sim card in another cell phone carriers phone. They can only be used for the same carrier.
Yes you can take the sd card out of the phone
No. You have to transfer the data.
If you have saved a game on an SD card and then move the card to another phone, the progress should stay on there.
Just let your phone read your memory card and wait.
Try removing the sim card and putting it another phone. then place it back in your phone. You can always take the phone to an authorized Nokia dealer in your area and ask them for help with this and other questions about your nokia c1-01.
You can purchase an egift card for someone in another country. Then all you will need to do is send them the card information.
Yes, that is usually the case with a SIM phone.
swap out your sim card into the new phone.
Yes, you have to switch out the sim card.
