I've had this problem also. I had only 2 or 3 websites responding. All of them were websites that had the 'secure' notification in the address bar.

There's a few options you can try.

1) Check if it's a DNS problem. Go to your Command Prompt and type 'ping teamliquid.net' If this doesn't work, but typing 'ping 67.228.171.232' does, then your DNS server is temporarily not working.

In this case you can either: -change it manually (Start > Control Panel > Network and internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings (to the left of your Network and Sharing Center window).

Right-click on your Wireless Internet Connection and hit Properties. Select 'Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)' and hit properties again. Here you can change your IP and/or DNS. OpenDNS IP's are available if you don't know which to use. (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220)

2) Determine whether it's your ISP's problem.

Connect to http://www.speedtest.net/

If your speed is normal, you're just seeing the internet slowing down. No one can do anything about that.

If the speed is much slower than normal, call your provider and have them check your line from their end (they can check the speed from them to your modem) If that's slow, it's their problem and they have to fix it.

If not, it's something on your end. (If your using a Wireless USB Adapter I advise changing the channel your operating on to see if it has any effect. 1, 6 and 11 are good choices.

3) Disable your Firewall to see if it has any effect. In my case, I un-installed AVG 2012 as I found that this was the problem to my not being able to load webpages. As soon as uninstalled it, my internet worked perfectly. I do advise installing another firewall though.

4) Check your 'hosts' file (Windows > System32 > Drivers > etc > 'Hosts'

By default there should only be the two localhost/loopback entries ('127.0.0.1 localhost' and '::1localhost') or just '127.0.0.1 localhost' if your computer isn't IPv6 ready.

5) You can try a trace route to a few common websites (this shows your the 'route' of your connection). You can do this by going back into Command Prompt and typing the command, 'tracert <website address>'

e.g- 'tracert www.Google.com'

6) Do an entire computer scan to scan for Trojan viruses and Malware.

7) Try turning off your modem / adapter for 10+ seconds and then restarting it.

8) If none of these options help, contact either the maker of your Modem/Adapter or your ISP.
