All you have to do is turn the phone off, wait about five minutes, then turn it back on. If that doesn't work, take out the sim card and blow on it; they can sometimes get dirty. Make sure you wait a minute before putting the sim card back in.
simply remove the battery, and turn the phone back on. it should work.

we have the same problem with our optus samsungE250 phone says 'phone freezed' we have tried buying a new sim card and ringing customer service (twice ) but the phone still says phone freezed and we can't use it It's only a week old :( This is the best way. Reset the phone. Do this by typing in #*7337#. I'm not sure if you have to take out the sim card. I think you do. But if it doesn't work with it out put it in and type it in the password place!! Hope this helps. It worked for me. All your info should still be on, but the skin will go to black. :D XxBreezixX
Taking the battery out of the phone and rubbing it back and forth against cloth. Although, you would think it would be the static charge from the friction that could help the battery work but its actually the heat generated from the friction. Because phone batteries work better when they are warmed.

A phone battery can be put into the freezer when overheated. After allowing the phone battery to cool down, remove it from the freezer let it come to room temperature, and place the battery back in the phone. Yes it will work.
