It depends on what you want to use the picture for. If you want to ask a question about something and you need the picture to illustrate or refer to, you need to post a link to an image. Simply post the picture to a public access photo site like Flickr, Photobucket, tinypic, or something similar. Then, copy and paste the link of the picture into the question.

If you want to use a picture as an avatar of your account, that is a bit more complex. You would need to make a Yahoo base Profile first at the link provided below. Then you would need to go back to Yahoo Answers and activate the avatar by clicking through the following sequence:

• your current avatar or YA name
• 'Edit My Preferences' next to your avatar.
• which avatar you want to use.
• 'Preview' (bottom), then OK.

To change your profile picture on wikianswers go to your profile and upload it from there.

Open "my settings" from the blue menu at left and you can link to your photo on a social network site such as Facebook.

Every user is given the option to link their Wikianswers account to their facebook account. In doing so, your default picture from facebook will appear as your avatar for Wikianswers!
