There is no limit as to how many trust points a person can earn on WikiAnswers. Currently, the highest number of trust points held by a person on this site is well over 8,000.

Other registered contributors who like your contributions and think they are helpful. You are unable to find out who gives you the Trust Points, unless they message you to say so.
Trust points are given by users to users. If a user finds an answer helpful then the poster of the answer enjoys seeing that they were helpful by receiving trust points from other users clicking the [recommend contributor] link.
You can see the number of trust points you have on your profile page. Go to "My profile" and in the Stats box you'll see the number of trust point you have. You can also see the number of trust point any other member has on Answers.com by viewing their profile page. The number of trust points also shows many times next to the username. For example Marcy[1000] means the user Marcy has currently 1000 trust points.
At this point, you can only add Trust Points, not deduct them. So, you can not lost Trust Points.
