In Boy-scouts there are many merit badges the kids can receive. One of the merit badges is for canoeing. You take a skills based test, so there are technically not yes or no answers, you can pass the test by learning how to canoe and doing it the proper way.

Badges are awarded for different reasons. Contributor badges (such as gold, silver and bronze) are awarded for the number of contributions made. Supervisor badges are awarded to people who oversee the running of a category - and there are different levels. There are also various programs people can be part of. For example - if you view my profile, you'll see that I am a supervisor of the Snakes category. I'm also a Wiki Guide - we help new users (or anyone with a question about procedures). Finally - I'm also part of the editing team - that checks that peoples answers conform to the rules, and are 100% accurate.
