Everything on your iPod will be gone.. BUT if you leave the music on itunes you can re sync and it will return to your IPOD :D

It's probably because you've got a tethered jailbreak and your iPod turned off. To fix this you have to plug your iPod back into the computer and reboot it. If your iPod isn't jailbroken then you should try and restore your iPod to its factory settings.
