Well, the answer according to me, is for instance, the internet has sources which provide emails such as hotmail and Yahoo. This is a quicker way to send mail other than writing a post-letter and using a stamp to send it which on average takes 3-7 days to reach its destination. So, the postman is getting less paid and some theories are that the postman won't be needed in the future to come.
