Your husband should love you heavy, medium or thin. Our bodies change all the time. Isn't it odd how many men with pot bellies and balding and very out of shape or don't look after themselves in general can pick on their wives for not looking the way they did in their 20's. These are some of the signs:

  • Hinting or telling you right out a dress or other article of clothing is too tight on you.
  • Mentioning your weight gain often.
  • Always criticizing what you are eating 'Should you be eating that?'
  • Looking at slender women and either saying nothing or telling you, 'Why can't you get yourself in shape like that.'
  • Calling you names such as 'fatty', 'oink, oink' or demeaning you in front of family and friends.
If your husband has said nothing about your weight then leave well enough alone and quit second-guessing. Some men don't mind a woman with some meat on her bones. Queen Latifah is one woman that is large and a knock-out as far as I'm concerned. She's solid and carries her weight well. There are many famous people that are heavier or large boned and look great. I think the problem is with yourself. Do something about it! If you can go on the 'South Beach Diet' or "Weight Watcher's Diet' (both hailed as the best diets going according to research) and start to exercise such as fast walking, swimming, jogging, biking, etc., will knock the weight off. Also drink those 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water per day and more if you are perspiring because it flushes out fats and toxins. If you live in a small town or out in the country you can buy the 'South Beach Diet Book' to help you. The rest is up to you. If you would like a bit of a starter to get you going then please use my Private Message Board and I'll be glad to give you two days of what amounts of food you should be eating. It will give you some idea of the portions you should be eating. I'll give you do's and not's as well. I would hope that you mean more to him then your appearance. Im sure over the years he, too, has changed. Maybe this is something that is nagging at you and you two together can do something about it. What do you have to lose by asking him if he can get involved with you to make a positive healthy change. Walk,swim or bike together. Go get a wellness check up from your doctor and ask them to suggest a diet plan for you to follow. See if your insurance company offers anything. Maybe discount to a gym or weightloss classes.
