Not so far. There are no cell towers or relay stations on Mars.
No, only Motorola phones you buy from Tracfone can use their minutes.
Yes
yes just ask the company to move your # to your current phone
signals and contactsand transponder such as radio towers and gas stations
The tracfone allows you to purchase just the amount of minutes you need and pay for only what you use rather than paying for a huge number of minutes with a cell phone plans and not using that many.
If the tracfone has been unlocked from its original network OR it is already on the same network as the safelink phone was on - then yes.
No, you need to buy a Tracfone phone to use their service.
There are two types of TracFones now, CDMA and GSM. This refers to the type of network used by the phone. And CDMA phone works only on CDMA networks, and same for GSM. GSM phones have SIM cards, CDMA do not (for the purpose of this discussion, anyway). I'm not clear on your reason for asking this question, but that's your answer. A CDMA phone does not have a SIM card. For more on CDMA vs. GSM Tracfones, check out this page: http://pbush14.wordpress.com/2008/03/16/tracfone-cdma-vs-gsm/ I should also clarify here that if your phone is a GSM phone, it MUST have a SIM card installed to operate. Also, to be used as a Tracfone, a phone must have the Tracfone software installed on it. This means that it must have been purchased as a "Tracfone" model. You can NOT bring a phone from a different service and use it as a Tracfone.
no *edit: All cell phones can be used to call 911 even if no airtime is loaded on the cell. I have done so successfully with a Tracfone with no minutes remaining.
There are many government programs that works with the Tracfone or Safelink systems to supply free cell service to disabled individuals. They are limited in how much you can use them but they are free.
Straight Talk is an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), which means that don't use their own towers - rather they "lease" service from a couple other of the nation's leading service providers. Tracfone wireless piggybacks on all four of the major carriers, depending on what phone you use. GSM: AT&T, T-Mobile CDMA:Verizon,Sprint
