What happened to Google in China?

Google does not approve of China's internet Censorship regulations, which to some people seem extreme. Also, supposedly China Authorities are highly suspicious of Google workers, and workers have been interrogated in the past. By pulling out of China, Google is protecting it's workers from arrest and interrogation.

I believe its because some dumba** posted a video of something china did embarrassing and he refuses to take it down so the government decided that you couldn't watch YouTube so it remains unknown.
