There is no area code for Cheshire, as Cheshire relates to an old shire area, which consisted of towns within that area, different towns may have different area codes dependant on which telephone exchange a telephone line is connected. Even someone living next door to each other or in the same town might have a different area code, if their line is wired to a different exchange or their telephone number (local) starts with different digits. Chester for example has an area code of 01244, or +44 1244 in international format. Other parts of Cheshire are in other adjacent area codes, so it is dependant on the town & exchange as to what area code would be used.

(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, Japan uses 010, Australia uses 0011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)
