There is no store that currently carries Virginia house rocking chairs as it is an antique. However, there are three currently (2012) on ebay that are up for auction.

My family owned Virginia House Furniture, along with the Fenyks of Marion, VA. The plants were located in Atkins, VA, just outside of Marion. Most of the American furniture industry was located in the Appalachian Mountains but labor costs eventually made it cheaper to ship the wood to Asia for crafting and assembly. Virginia House, chaired by my late father and Butch Simmons resisted the move due to the impact upon the local economies, but simply couldn't weather the storm. It was sold to Vaughn Bassett in late 1997 but even so the trademark manufacturing was moved to Asia by 2000.

To my knowledge there is noone who would have current line information about Virginia House, although there could be some retailer who has never sold all of the furniture stock purchased before the time the company was sold.

It was built by Americans who were the best in the business outside of completely handmade furniture by single piece artisans who craft such work. It was the top of the upper mid price range furniture throughout the 80's but couldn't weather the cheaper wages it faced at the time. It was predominatly solid hardwood, although there were some pieces that used veneers in certain areas, although Virginia Houses use of super finishes allowed full table tops to be solid rather than veneers near the end.
