1995. The company was netsat.They launched satellites through Hughes Corp and for $29.95 you can get satellite internet monthly.

They then merged with a company in 1996/97 called Worldcomm, but had to change its name to GlobeComm out of Hauppaugue, NY through a guy who I believe was named Edwin Love. The owner of Worldcomm/Globecomm funded the project and manufactured the gateways that linked all of the countries together all over the world from 1998-2001/02.
