Coral reefs begin to form when free-swimming coral larvae attach to submerged rocks. Both natural conditions and those created by man is what make coral reefs vulnerable to environmental stress.

Coral reefs are vulnerable to environmental stress due to their sensitivity to changes in temperature, salinity, and water quality. Factors such as ocean warming, pollution, and ocean acidification can disrupt the symbiotic relationship between corals and their algae, leading to coral bleaching. Overfishing and destructive fishing practices further degrade reef ecosystems, reducing their resilience. Additionally, coastal development and habitat destruction increase their exposure to stressors, making them more susceptible to decline.

Stess can never protect you rather it makes you more vulnerable. It is proven to be a bad thing for people. It causes one to feel more stressful and stay in stress all the time.
Mostly coral.
what makes pearl harbor strong and vulnerable is the protection around it.
Staghorn corals are vulnerable due to several factors, including climate change, ocean acidification, and pollution, which lead to coral bleaching and weakened skeletal structures. Their reliance on specific environmental conditions makes them susceptible to temperature fluctuations and habitat degradation. Additionally, overfishing and coastal development threaten their ecosystems, further exacerbating their decline. As a result, staghorn corals face significant risks, impacting biodiversity and marine ecosystems.
pH is important for many reasons, but for coral reefs proper pH is especially important because of how corals grow. Corals grow by depositing calcium carbonate as part of their skeletons, and calcium carbonate does not like to for (precipitate) at lower pH. A pH of above 8 makes it much easier for corals to lay down there calcium carobonate skeletons, and thus makes it possible for them to grow. That is how pH affects coral reefs.

Coral makes up coral reefs. Coral by definition are microscopic animals with an outer skeleton of calcium carbonate that form colonies and are responsible for reef building.
