Actually there is no large body of water that separates the 2 continents though some say its the Caspian Sea or the Mediterranean. It is the Bosporus and Dardanelles, which, together with the Sea of Marmara, separate Europe from Asia.
The two continents that border the Black Sea are Asia and Europe. The Black Sea is wedged in between these two continents.
