The Mediterranean Sea is a mostly enclosed sea that has limited exchange of water with outer oceans and where the water circulation is dominated by salinity and temperatue difference rather than winds while

the red sea runs along the North Eastern Edge of Africa. Some archeologist's suggest that it is such named because of a seasonal bloom of a water plant called Trichodesmium erythraeum which produces red color blooms at a certain season every year. Actually, the name, Red Sea comes from a Greek phrase called Erythra Thalassa.
