The Danube River is one of Europe's greatest and most popular rivers. It crosses over not one, but ten countries. Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine and Romania all have the river flowing through them or acting as a border between countries. Romania, Hungary, Austria and Serbia contain around 60% of the river's water.
