Magic has 5 different colors, each of them has specific characteristics (e.g white is good, green is nature) Black colored cards often represent the evil and dark side spells and creatures. Black characterizing creatures are vampires, demons and Zombies among others. In some older cards' illustrations a pentagram would appear, these illustrations have been changed when the card was reprinted. This was to avoid any discussion about relation of Magic with satanism. There is no proof of any relation with satanism as the cards often have only a name that could generate controversy, and never describe anything similar to a satanic ritual, only their effect on the game. Even if the illustrations of black cards often do picture demonic creatures, these are usually extracted from and inspired by folkloric culture, and not satanic books or rituals. In magic, there are more Angels (that are also the most popular and powerful creatures) then Devils (also quite popular). (by TheOmniscient)
