Japanese_(70's-90's_children):">Japanese (70's-90's children):Respectful -> Bowing is seen throughtout Japan from the elderly even down to small children.

Language -> Japanese spoken Language is extremely polite with 4 ways of adressing people. 1 - Extremely Formal (used mainly for respected elders and royalty) 2. Formal (used to address strangers and aquaintances aswel as elders) 3. Informal(used with friends ) 4. Extremely informal (spoken between children, lovers, and very close friends)

Music -> Mainly Jpop (artists such as Amuro Namie and Boa) and Jrock (the Gazette) The 70's children especially would be aquainted with XJapan who wrote the theme tune for the Holly wood movie Saw5. Though the emergence of artists such as Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder were present and influenced many Japanese artists this was rarely accepted or achknowledged.

Food -> Japanese food is especially healthy, even desert and childrens snacks are commonly made from sweetened rice. Sushi, Shashimi (raw fish) Miso shiru (Miso a traditional soup) and other such foods eg. Ramen are commonly eaten. Of course MacDonalds and other chain resteraunts have been in Japan for a while but Japanese food remains the most popular within the country.

Traditions -> Geisha (who still excist) Tea Ceremony, Attending Shrines to pray, Martial Arts (of which origins reside in Japan) Origami (paper objects) Buddhism(the main religion throughout east Asia) Traditional Japanese weddings, Family values. Aside from other cutsoms still remain strong within Japan thus why it is still such an attraction to western tourists who haven't been exposed to such customs.

**However, Japanese people seem to be happy with the fact that Japan is a single race nation and do not have good relations with the rest of Asia especially China(see the China/Japan war). Racism is very strong within Japan and although Hapas(Half Asians) of White decent are well received and often noted within the media. Others are not. This said Japanese culture is one which is extremely hard working and strives for greatness. Thus the amount of Business men within Japan and the strong oldfashioned values.

American:">American:Respect-> Unlike in Japan there are no commen curticies and Please and Thankyou are rarely heard esp in public. This does not mean Americans are disrespectful, however the show of respect is not commonly seen. Aside from the fact that family values have been somewhat diluted within these generations.

Language -> Predominatly English with many people who now speak a second and third language. This obviously because of Immigration into the USA.

Music -> As with Japan these are also the Pop Rock and Rap generations.

Food -> With shelves stocked full of fatty, high calorie foods no wonder America is food of fad-diets. Portions are excessive (compared to Europe, South America and Asia!) and food is cheap. Fast food resteraunts originated here and are especially popular amongst 90s children. (Note all pies and "old recipies" made in America have been taken and adapted from English recipies so are infact not American atall.)

Traditions -> ..or lack of! With America being so racially diverse it has experienced many different cultures and seems to have no identifiable culture of its own aside from perhaps Christianity and Country Music.

** However America is much more accepting than Japan (on the surface yet Strong deep rooted racism still excists, as does the KKK). The most common seen between African Americans and Latino/Hispanics.
