No, Mexicans are usually natives mixed with Spaniards. Cubans are Blacks, Spaniards, some Indians(Taino or descendants) and some Asians too (specially from China ). Plus Cubans are in a different country than the Mexicans. But both would be considered "Latino" or "Hispanic" by most.
No again Mexicans are descendants of the Mayan or Aztec Indians, in some case Incas also . But yes some are mixed with Spaniards. Some Cubans are descendants of the Taino-Arawak Indians.. Cubans can also be mixed with Spaniards and some are black also because when the white people brought slaves from Africa to sell as slaves the lucky few ran away and settled in Cuba where they learned a different culture.
Cubans are 65.05% white, 10.08% pure black , 23.84% mulatto/mestizos and asians 1.02%.
Mulattos are white +black... Mestizos are Indians + white ... The Taino Indians of Cuba were NOT completely wiped out by the conquistadors . Some of them survived in the province Oriente, and some still use the language(Taino).. . Also, Cubans don't like to be called Hispanics or Latins cause Cubans are mainly Caribbean people...they identify more with the Caribbean culture than the culture of the rest of Latin America.
