No, Mexicans are usually natives mixed with Spaniards. Cubans are Blacks, Spaniards, some Indians(Taino or descendants) and some Asians too (specially from China ). Plus Cubans are in a different country than the Mexicans. But both would be considered "Latino" or "Hispanic" by most.

Also, Cubans don't like to be called Hispanics or Latins cause Cubans are mainly Caribbean people...they identify more with the Caribbean culture than the culture of the rest of Latin America.
