The outbreak of war in the Pacific during World War II significantly impacted the relationship between Australia and Papua New Guinea (PNG). Australia took on a protective role, with PNG serving as a strategic base for military operations against Japanese forces. This led to increased Australian military presence and infrastructure development in PNG, fostering closer ties. However, it also set the stage for complex post-war dynamics as PNG navigated its path toward independence.
Britain was allied with Australia and promised them protection against the Japanese soldiers but then abandoned them and tried to keep them from going home to protect their country. Australia then worked with the US and became an important military base.
As in WW1 against Germany, Australia was obliged to defend it's colony against Japan. So it recalled its troops from the Middle East where they were fighting a European war and faced this first major threat to itself. Previous commitments to wars were promoting the interests of Britain, not defence of Australia, but now Australia was under direct threat for the first time and the invasion of New Guinea posed a direct threat, and New Guinea became an essential part its own defence.
Australia was the foot hole for the allied troops to mount an attack on Japanese forces. The battle of Guadalcanal was the deciding battle in preventing the Japanese invasion of Australia.
The same as with the US; enemies then, friends now.
cause it did
Affect !
Definately not.
The 1984 Carolinas outbreak destroyed trees, homes, and places of work.
The responses of the US and the UUR did cause a major inclination in the outbreak of the WWII as allies combined.

Since Tsunamis occur mostly in the Pacific Ocean, we can assume that they would most affect Asia, Australia, and other places along that side of the world.I hope that (somewhat) helped! :)
