Very hard question, i guess it depends on everybody's perception. Lots of discrimination here against gypsies and people from Hungary that live in Romania. Most romanians dislike the gypsy people (or "rromi") because gypsies are generally poorer and less educated and commit a large number of criminal acts. people abroad see all romanian as thieves and criminals because of what gypsies do so now there is a lot of hatred in Romania between these 2 groups. In Transylvania (west part of Romania) a lot of hungarians live with romanian people in the same towns and villages. In this part of the country everything is written in 2 languages and most hungarians don't speak or refuse to speak romanian (even in shops, restaurants, etc). Hungarians want to take a part of Romania and make it their own because they are a majority in some areas and therefor a lot of animosity exists between Romanians and Hungarians it that part.

I think Multicultural Awareness is the knowledge of knowing about what other cultures went through. Not being racist to other cultures and getting along with them. It helps in the work place by everyone learning different cultures. That way everyone knows something about everyone else's heritage.
