:-) that's a funny questions... lol.

Well, Switzerland is in Western Europe. And - besides the discussions if wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan or Iraq were (are) right or not - the USA has still the slight liberation (ww2) image. If you are talking about Canada, Mexico, South America, etc. most things are the same as for US citizens.

Switzerland (as neutral country) has often been (and is still today) the platform for international meetings. Media have high interest in broadcasting what's happening... this means it's normal to have discussions among the population if this or that is good or not... and as the USA are a major force their behavior is discussed, too.

Overall it's not a problem to go to Switzerland. Young north Americans use some places in Switzerland as winter destination (it's nice in summer aswell) before going to Spain in summer :). So if you are waiting for aggression or something you will find it a bit too calm in Switzerland. You only have to tolerate the right of public demonstrations - this may happen as a consequence of Swiss national votings or international meetings. And yes - of course - you don't have any guarantee every Swiss would support everything US government decides... but do all US citizens do that?
