Lake Superior. It's the largest freshwater lake measured by surface area and the largest by volume in North America. The Ojibew name for the lake is gichigami or be a great sea. Superior comes from the French translation of "Upper Lake" in reference to Lake Huron.
South is Florida. North is Lake of the Woods Minnesota.
