The main festivals of Libya:

The Revolution Day: held on the 1st of September of every year since 1969, to celebrate Gaddafi's revolution.

Ghadames International Festival: normally held in mid-October every year. A gathering of people to feast, sing and dance and a celebration of Tuareg Berber culture.

Ghat Festival: normally held near the end of December of every year. Berber Tuareg tribes from Libya, Algeria and Niger gather together to celebrate and have fun.

Nalut Spring Festival: normally held in late March of every year, to revive and promote Berber culture and has become a major tourist attraction recently.

Tripoli International Tourism Expo (T.I.T.E.): held in Tripoli in May.

Zuwarah Awessu Festival: normally held in the month of August of every year, a cultural event held in the town of Zuwarah.

Derj Tourist Festival: normally held in September of every year, to celebrate local culture with feasts, dance, music, and traditional crafts exhibitions.
