Russian Marxists supported the ideas of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, advocating for the overthrow of capitalism and the establishment of a proletarian state. They aimed to achieve a socialist society through revolutionary means, emphasizing the role of the working class in dismantling the bourgeoisie. Key figures, such as Vladimir Lenin, adapted Marxist theory to the Russian context, leading to the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. Their ultimate goal was to create a classless society where the means of production would be owned collectively.
They were Marxists. ;)
