During the Civil War, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Texas were all part of the Confederacy, having seceded from the Union to protect their interests, particularly in relation to slavery and states' rights. Each state contributed to the Confederate war effort through military personnel and resources, with significant agricultural output, especially cotton. Additionally, they faced similar challenges, including economic hardship and social upheaval due to the war's toll. These states' shared commitment to the Confederate cause reflected their common cultural and economic ties in the antebellum South.

No state seceded during the election of 1860. South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas declared its secession from the United States following the November 1860 election of Republican candidate Abraham Lincoln to the U.S. presidency. After the Civil War began in April, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina also declared their secession and joined the Confederacy.
South Carolina seceeded first, then Mississippi, the Florida, then Alabama, the Georgia, the Louisiana, the Texas, then Virginia, then Arkansas, the North Carolina then finally Tennessee. The first states to become the Confederacy however I believe were South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. I'm pretty sure that those states existed as the Confederacy on their own then accepted the rest after becoming a country.
There were thirteen states that made up the Confederacy, I will attempt to name them. North and South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisana, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and I think maybe Kentucky. That is not the order in which they seceeded, however. The state of Virginia split on this becoming two states. There is one county in Alabama that has never officialy rejoined the Union, Winston County I believe.
Who said it was valued? The only "value" that GEORGIA has is the fact that it borders ALABAMA!!
