What happened between biff and willy in New England
When Willy sees Bernard in Charley's office, he is surprised and impressed by Bernard's success as a lawyer. Willy recalls Bernard as being a studious and somewhat nerdy boy who used to fail in his schoolwork, so seeing him as a successful professional amazes and confuses Willy.

Willy Loman wants young Bernard to help Biff by tutoring him and assisting him with his studies. He believes that Bernard's academic success could positively influence Biff's future and ultimately lead to greater opportunities. Willy sees Bernard as a model of diligence and intellect, qualities he hopes will rub off on Biff. This reflects Willy's desire for Biff to succeed where he feels he has failed.

Willy sees Charley's son, Bernard, who has grown up to be a successful lawyer. This encounter serves as a stark contrast to Willy's own son, Biff, who did not achieve the same level of success.

in the play bernard who was once a geek, becomes a very successful lawyer, it is said "he is going to argue a case in front of the supreme court" this is ironic as willy himself said bernard would never be successful and biff would be fantastic. when it turns out bernard is super successful willy is confused as to why bernard was successful and biff not.
Willy is very jealous of them and how they become successful, bu he thinks they are complete dorks.
