Answer
hmmm, i am a Pizza delivery boy for pap johns in central Ohio. I work just over 40 hrs a week and average a little over 20k a year, prolly more around 22-24. i make about 15k on paper and probably around 10k in tips. in the summer i get around 200 a week in tips. in the winter about 400 a week. the good things about pizza delivery is that u make less then 15k a year so u get almost all your taxes back. the colder it is, the more pizza is ordered, that might affect you because of your location. i hope this helps
Additional information: Don't forget that at least 3 dollars an hour goes directly into your car for fuel and maintenance. New drivers tend to run their cars into the ground then realize this when they can't get buy a new one because they have not stashed any away for this problem. I would say to dump about 7000 off of the number above to adjust for actual take home pay. Buying a new car is not the answer either, because no matter what the warranty is, you will have payments and repairs within a couple of years due to the mileage accrued while delivering. I'm what is referred to as a "lifer" and I can tell you that the nicer the weather the better the tips. When people feel better they tip more, nobody feels good if it's raining or cold and nasty outside.
