There is sub-ethnic of Javanese such as Osing, Tenggerese, Boyanese, Cirebonese, Banyumasan, etc. Most of Javanese people wrote in Latin sript rather than Javanese script because it was more simple, but Javanese script still remain alive in Surakarta and Yogyakarta city.
