It depends on you definition of turnpike. If any limited access tollway is a turnpike, then the section of I-75 from Mackinaw City to St. Ignace (The Mackinac Bridge) is located within the state. Also, several briges and tunnels connecting Michigan to Ontario, Canada are tollways. If your definition excludes toll bridges and tunnels, then I-80/I-90 in Indiana (the Indiana Toll Road) is probably the closest - it is less than a mile from the Michigan border in Indiana for a good portion of its length. If you require the road to be named a turnpike, I-90 in Ohio is a few miles from the Michigan border from Indian to Toledo and is formally named the Ohio Turnpike. I do not believe there are turnpikes in Wisconsin, the other state that borders Michigan.
