The southern part of the eastern coastal plains in India is known as the Coromandel Coast. It extends from the Krishna River in Andhra pradesh down to the northern part of Tamil Nadu, characterized by its fertile delta regions and significant agricultural productivity. The coast is also known for its rich cultural heritage and historical significance, featuring notable cities like Chennai and Puducherry.
They are the Atlantic Coastal Plains and Gulf Coastal Plains. The Atlantic Plains runs close to the Atlantic Coast and the Gulf Plains runs near the Gulf of Mexico.
