Warm waters from the Gulf of Mexico flow up along the coast of the United States of America and across the Atlantic to Europe. This is known as the Gulf Stream. As a result of this, northern Europe gets milder weather than other parts of the world on the same latitude.
Gulf Stream.
The Gulf Stream comes from the Gulf of Mexico, not the US. It makes the weather of Western Europe significantly warmer. Most of Europe is about 15 F warmer than areas of the same latitude.
It tranfports/trasfers heat (eg the Gulf stream which makes Western Europe warmer than usual)
The Gulf Stream makes England's climate much warmer than it would otherwise be. The Gulf Stream originates at the tip of Florida, and along with the North Atlantic Drift, follows the eastern coastlines of the United States and Newfoundland before crossing the Atlantic Ocean.
The Gulf Stream, with its northern extension of the North Atlantic Drift, brings warm weather to Western Europe. Because of this, Western Europe can be up to some 15˚F warmer than areas of the same latitude.

the name is the gulf stream
Currents from a warm source flow a certain path near land makes the climate warmer
Gulf stream !
Probably due to the climate. Central Europe tends to have a fairly 'steady' climate without wild fluctuations in weather. This makes it an ideal breeding ground.
An Isthmus can have a great effect on the world, particularly the US Eastern seaboard and Europe. By the Panama isthmus closing up, it redirected the gulf stream to go to Europe. This has a significant effect on the European weather, as it makes the weather warmer and wetter than what it should otherwise be. As it carries warm water and air laden with moisture from the tropics to Europe.
