In the early Croatian history, Kingdom of Croatia was in defensive war with Bulgarians and Hungarians.

There are Bulgarian,Hungarian and many other sources that confirm it.

Later, Croatia was under Hungarian rule and fought with Hungary against Ottoman invasion. One of the most famous generals during that time was a Croat Nikola Å ubic Zrinski (original Croatian), also know as Miklos Zrinyi (Hungarian).

Hungarian sources confirm it.

Centuries later, after Serbs assassinated king Franz Ferdinand, Croatia (now under Austro-Hungary) joined what is now known as or World War 1.

For further details, search for information about Great War, also known as World War 1.

Austro-Hungary and Croatia lost the war, and Croatia was forced to join the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.

Unhappy by Serbian rule, and Dictatorship of king Alexander, numbers of Croat extremist grew and King Alexander was assassinated by Bulgarian and Croatian extremist.

Bulgarian and many other sources confirm it.

Decades later, Nazi Germany occupied Kingdom of Yugoslavia, and several puppet states were established, along with Independent State of Croatia.

While WW2 Croats seen Germans as liberators and enjoyed some sort of independence, this period is now considered as darkest hour of Croatian history. In 1945, Croatia lost the war, and joined The Socialist Republic Of Yugoslavia, which was actually a communist state.

For further information, look for ''independent'' sources. Communist often demonized every one of their enemies, and unfortunately , modern Serbia still refuses to leave their old myths about being a innocent God-chosen people, attacked by half of the world because of Catholic-Nazi-Masonic conspiracies.

Look for: Italian, Hungarian, Slovenian, Israelian, USA (American) and many other reliable sources.

After the inevitable break-up of Yugoslavia, Croatia proclaimed independence. Serbian minority in Croatia rebelled and Yugoslav National Army (now under command of Serb Milosevic and consisted of Serbs) attacked internationally recognized Croatia. Croatia won the war against impossible odds.

For further information, search all sources around the world, but I repeat, do not bother to look at Serbian conspiracy theories they call history. This has nothing to do by me being Croat. This is a fact which can be confirmed by anyone who knows modern Serb policies.
