The flag of the United States of America was last changed on July 4th, 1960 for the admission of the State of Hawaii to the United States.
A flag for Europe has only existed since 1955 and it has not changed in that time.
the number of stars changed as we bought states
yes
The last update to the American flag occurred on July 4, 1960, when Hawaii became the 50th state. This addition resulted in the current design featuring 13 stripes representing the original colonies and 50 stars for each state. Since then, no changes have been made to the flag's design.
You are never supposed to dip the American Flag to any one or any thing.
In total, there have been 27 revisions to the American flags because of added stars alone! The last addition to the flag was on July 4th, 1960 when the flag went from having 49 stars to 50 stars with the addition of Hawaii. To see a full history of the flag additions, check out the related link below. It shows the dates flow, states represented and amount of stars.
I last changed my furnace filter three months ago.
It all depends on which flag it is flying along side:For flying with flag other than a different nation's flag:"If the flagpoles are the same height, the American flag should be placed in a position of honor, which is the extreme left, as the flags are most frequently viewed. If there are multiple flagpoles with the center flagpole in taller height, the American flag would fly on the taller, more prominent flagpole. When the flags are flown from adjacent staffs, the American flag should be hoisted first and lowered last. No such flag or pennant may be placed above the flag of the United States or to the flag's right."For flying with the flags of other nations:"When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate flagpoles at the same height. The flags should be approximately equal in size. International usage forbids the display of the flag of one nation above that of another nation in time of peace. The American flag should never been on the same halyard as another nations flag. When the flags are flown from adjacent staffs, the American flag should be hoisted first and lowered last."Taken from:http://www.americanflagsforsale.com/american-flag-etiquette.aspx-Matt
The American Flag was not in existence at that time. America gained its independence as a country in 1776, which would make it 232 years old.The American Flag was not in existence at that time. From Dawn to Dusk
Of course it was.The union flag was the origanal American flag.
The colors are red (7 stripes) and white (6 stripes). The field containing 50 stars is blue. The 13 stripes represent the original 13 colonies, and the 50 stars represent the current number of states (which changed over time as states were added).
