Answer 1:

A lot of them went to Jordan and Syria. Some to Lebanon and few to Egypt.

Answer 2:

It depends on when they left. Of the 720,000 or so Palestinians who left between

1947 and 1949, a large percentage went to refugee camps in the Gaza Strip or the

West Bank. Large numbers also went to Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. A smattering

went to Egypt or Saudi Arabia. Some Palestinians did not "flee", and became Israeli

citizens. Between 1949-1967, many Palestinians moved from the West Bank (which

was under Jordanian control) into Jordan proper, increasing the number of Palestinian

refugees in Jordan without involving Israel.

Terrorist incidents in the 1970s and 1980s occurred as supporters of the Palestinian resistance to?

Terrorist incidents in the 1970s and 1980s occurred as supporters of the Palestinian resistance to several different countries. Probably the most obvious and prominent of these was Israel, but there were also terrorist and paramilitary aggression against the governments in Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and a few other countries in that time period for their treatment of the Palestinian refugees and/or not allowing Palestinian terrorist organizations to freely operate within their boundaries.

What country are most palestinian refugees located?

Palestinians were forced out of Palestine and became refugees in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt. It is worth noting that these are the countries with the largest numbers of Palestinian Refugees (excluding the camps in the West Bank and Gaza), but there is a large Palestinian diaspora in Europe, the Arab World (other than these five areas), South America, and North America.

Who do Christians side with over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

Why is it so important to many Israelis and Jews outside of Israel that the Palestinian Authority call Israel a Jewish State?

This is the recognition of Israel's mission for the Jewish people. Israel is a nation-state in the 19th century understanding of that term. This is in much the same way that Germany, Italy, Armenia, and many other countries are nation-states. Nobody questions Germany's right to maintain an ethnic-German majority in Germany or to base German laws on German cultural values. It is self-understood that if Germany wished to close its border to immigration, they could do so and maintain an ethnically German state. (They technically cannot close the border to EU migrations because of EU Law, but most immigrants to Germany are from countries outside of the EU.) However, there is a strong push to allow resettlement of Palestinian refugees and their descendants into Israel, which would violate the Jewish national culture of the State of Israel. The entire purpose of the State of Israel is to create a State for Jews in both the sense that it is a place where they can live and a place permeated by Jewish values. The recognition by the Palestinian Authority that Israel is a Jewish State would be an implicit acquiescence to what Israel requires as the basis of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations: Palestine should be the State of the Palestinian Arabs. Palestine should be responsible for resettling the refugees of its people, not Israel. It is because of this very implication that the Palestinian Authority has resisted calling Israel the Jewish State.

Israel and Palestinian conflict -Why?

There are many reasons for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but most of them stem from the nationalist movements of the Jews and the Arabs which seeked to gain sovereignity.

Which countries have not given contribution to Palestinian Refugees?

The countries that HAVE contributed to UNRWA, the UN agency in charge of helping the Palestinians are the United States, Canada, most Western European countries, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. Any country outside of that list, such as Russia, China, Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, all the countries of Africa, etc. do not give substantial contributions to Palestinian Refugees. Israel does not contribute funds to UNRWA, but does support UNRWA activities.

What country is west of Israel and the Palestinian Territories?

EGYPT is the only country that borders Israel to the West and only borders Israel on the southern half of its Western border. The Gaza Strip, a self-ruling Palestinian territory, also borders Egypt, but Egypt has kept the border closed for some time now.

Who predominately occupies the Gaza strip?

Ethnically, the inhabitants are primarily Palestinian Arabs, most of them refugees or the descendants of refugees who arrived during and after the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Culturally- and religiously speaking, the population are mostly Sunni Muslims.

In the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict did most of the fighting take place inside neither's borders?

No. The fighting took place almost exclusively within the borders of the State of Israel and the Palestinian Territories.

How do you fight Hamas terror?

The most effective way to fight Hamas would be to cripple their budget and isolate them diplomatically by disbanding UNRWA and settling the Palestinian Refugees permanently.

Who are the enemies of Palestine?

It depends what you want out of your allies and enemies. If we are speaking about strictly military alliances, then Iran is Palestine's strongest ally while Israel and the United States with Egypt's assistance are its greatest adversaries. If you are speaking about the Palestinian people, the situation completely flips. Israel has assisted the Palestinians in building infrastructure and tax collection. Additionally, most Palestinians receive medical treatment in Israeli hospitals when they are injured (even if they are injured in the course of Israeli-Palestinian Conflicts). The United States is the largest single contributor to UNRWA (the UN organization that looks out for Palestinian refugees) and out-contributes all of the Arab countries combined. Egypt has notably used its position as an Arab State and a nation at peace with Israel to negotiate ceasefires between Israel and Palestinian Militant Groups, saving Palestinian lives. Iran, however, is radicalizing the Palestinian populace, making long-term peace less and less likely and providing the weapons that give organizations like Hamas the feeling that they should strike. Both of these acts perpetuate the cycle of violence and are in the worst interests of the actual Palestinians.Who_are_the_allies_and_enemies_of_Palestine
