Checoslováquia, known as Czechoslovakia in English, was a country in Central Europe that existed from 1918 until its peaceful dissolution into the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993. It was bordered by Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, and Ukraine. Today, the territory is divided between the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
