Kutschlau is now knows as Cociule and is in present day Poland. It was a town in what was know as Silesia ( the Kingdom of Lower Silesia) It became Prussian after the Prussian dominion of the region in the late !8th C (1742) It is perhaps famous today as the village that the Henschke's left from in 1841 to come to South Australia. One branch of that family established the now famous Henschke Wines.
