It depends entirely on what you like. If you have a lot of money and want to retire somewhere warm, a lot of people go to the Las Vegas area, Florida or Scottsdale Arizona. If you're looking for somewhere inexpensive to live that is also warmer in the winter, there are some communities around Northern Arizona, Southern Utah, New Mexico and Brownsville Texas that are a little less expensive and still warm... but maybe you like skiing and want to retire to Aspen or Park City. There are great communities all around the country. You just have to decide what you like. Florida of course. Its nice and warm and relaxed. I suggest buying a condo AWAY from the shore (for hurricane season).
