Currently, no, China is not more advanced than the US. The US is currently the most advanced country on the planet, and has been for awhile, and will be for a longer while. China is an industrializing country, and yes, is catching up to the US. However, this period of Chinese advancement and US slump will not last forever, and is even beginning to slow down. China is currently dealing with problems of a growing deficit and a slowing economic growth. The US is still dealing with its overwhelming deficit, was improving very well, but has once again hit a slump as the feared Fiscal Cliff is arriving. What I mean is that the US (and Europe) won't be in an economic slump forever and China (and other countries such as India) won't have overwhelmingly fast growing economies forever. Things could change tomorrow, next year, or ten years from now and it is impossible to say what the future holds. All these calculations you are seeing for the future, as China being the world's largest economy in just four decades, should not be taken as fact. These predictions are merely based on if things keep going the way they are currently, and they definitely will not be.
