VisitEngland, as the English Tourist Board is now known, is one of the trading titles of the British Tourist Authority (BTA).

According to its Annual Report and Accounts for the Year Ended 31 March 2011, the BTA is a Non-Departmental Public Body funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport of the Government of the United Kingdom.

The accounts also suggest that the BTA receives additional funding from the private sector as well as deriving revenue from its own commercial activities.

The homepage of the VisitEngland (VE) website indicates that VE receives support from the UK Government's (England-only) Regional Growth Fund.
