How many in Obama administration are converts to Islam?

Contrary to what you may be hearing on conservative Talk Shows, there is little credible evidence that anyone in his administration has converted to Islam. (There are several members of congress who converted to Islam years ago, long before they ever knew Barack Obama, but I don't think that's what you are asking about.) But let's be realistic: there are a large number of people who work for the president-- aides, cabinet members, ambassadors, diplomats, etc. It is certainly possible that someone converted to Islam, but if so, it's not a widespread trend. And it is just as possible that people in his administration have converted to Judaism or even Christianity. In this time in American history, many people are seeking a path to finding inner peace, and changing religions can be part of that process.

It doesn't matter if he did or not. It is illegal to ask a person what their religion is before they are hired or working. If a person voluntarily gives that information it is their choice, but to base hiring or not hiring someone based on religion is discrimination and against the law.

President Obama has always tried to have a diverse administration, one that reflects America. Thus, his administration has included Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and non-believers. The majority of the people who work for him are probably Christians, since that is the largest religious group in the US. While we know the religious views of some of the people in his administration, others have never discussed it (nor should they have to, if they choose not to do so); as a result, we have no exact numbers in terms of how many people of each religion have worked for him. We know he has held Passover seders for his Jewish staff members and their families; hosted Christmas parties for his Christian staff members and their families; and sent out holiday wishes for Eid (to his Muslim staffers) and Diwali (to his Hindu staffers). But if you have read claims on anti-Obama conspiracy sites that his administration is dominated by Muslims, there is absolutely NO evidence to support that assertion.
