What did George Washington want for the US country?

He wanted no national bank, no political parties, and for the US to stay out of foreign affairs. This is just something I remember hearing in school , but have not found sources to back up since. I think the US would be better off with such a guideline.

His letters and writings tell us he hope that the democracy he helped create and fought for would work and keep going. His great fear that political parties would become self serving and not meet the needs of the common good. He also thought that people who ran for office should serve temporarily and then go home. He also wrote about a virtuous government and the word virtuous in his time meant truthful. His wisdom has lasted the ages and we need to refer to him instead of just thinking of him as a statue with a toga and in the past.
