The Hungarian revolutionaries have collected limited quantities of this weapon from local military forces, and from the fallen soviet soldiers but due to ammunition shortages it never became a widespread weapon. The revolutionaries mainly used the Hungarian copy of the PPSh-41 submachine gun during the conflict.
