Republican Richard Nixon (born January 9, 1913 in Yorba Linda; died April 22, 1994 in New York City, New York) served as the thirty-seventh President of the United States, between January 20, 1969 and August 9, 1974. He was preceded in the post by Lyndon B. Johnson, and succeeded by Gerald Ford.
