Many became professionals in many fields. Housing market and auto market skyrocketed as they bought those with their families or with their new wives. The population of children boomed for fifteen years. Technological and scientific break throughs flourished. Aeronautical and Missile industry went beyond the scientists wildest dreams. The Military learned to keep a larger service force when they found themselves not ready for the Korean War. They built it up and then came the Vietnam War. After World War 2 America was puffed up with military might pride. After the Vietnam War the American Morale plumetted. Social changes from 1945 to 1975 were phenomenal. Women gain careers, businesses and professions. By 2010 the USA had women owning Fortune 500 type companies and some have earned Nobel Prizes. The sad part after the war was the USA did not know how to deal with PTSD but they did try.
