For the year 1921 two silver dollars were issued and each is a separate series of dollar coins and the designs are very different. Morgan dollars were issued from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921, the obverse (front) of the coin has a portrait of Miss Liberty with the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM above her head, on the reverse the eagle has its wings spread out. The Peace dollar was also issued in 1921 to 1928 and 1934 & 1935 the obverse of this coin has the word LIBERTY above Miss Liberty's head and on the reverse the eagles wings are folded and it's standing on a rock with the word PEACE on it.
The values between the two are very different, post new question with more info.

From your description the coin is a 1921 Morgan dollar and it's the most common of all Morgan dollars. Values are $16.00-$19.00 retail depending on the condition of the coin.
That depends. If it's a 1921 Morgan, then it's a really common coin and currently worth around $22 for the silver content. If per chance it's a '21 Peace dollar, then it's worth at least $60.
Two different one dollar coins were made in 1921. One is a Morgan dollar the other is a Peace dollar, they have very different values. The Peace dollar is the one with the higher value, this coin does have the word LIBERTY on the front above "Miss Liberty's" head and has a low value of about $75.00 in collectible condition, the Morgan has the national motto E PLURIBUS UNUM and is only worth about $30.00
A 1921-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar in very good condition (VG8) is worth: $80.00.
40-50 us dollars more if in perfect condition
Assuming the coin is circulated retail prices are $17.00-$26.00

E-PLURIBUS-UNUM is NOT a type of silver dollar, it is the national motto that is on most coins. The coin is a Morgan dollar with a value in the $28.00-$30.00 range.

Since I think the 1860s, all American coins have had "E Pluribus Unum" on them somewhere. You'll need to be more specific. What's the face value of the coin (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half-dollar, dollar)? And what condition is it in?
