Any that you find in change will be worth face value only - nearly 9 billion US cents were minted in 1974 so they're hardly scarce. A nice uncirculated one might bring 15 cents or a quarter at retail.
Note - San Francisco made cents for circulation from 1968 to 1974 so if you find a '74-S cent in change it's not a mint error or an "escaped" proof coin.
